Assignment 1: Strategy
A consultant needs to keep the end-goals in mind on a project and develop an effective strategy to be successful. The best consultants set short-term, medium-term, and long-term goals on projects. Additionally, it is important that you anticipate opportunities, threats, and intervening factors that might impact the feasibility of achieving goals. A logic model is a helpful tool you can use to work out the goals and issues of a project ahead of time.
Using scholarly sources from the Argosy University online library resources and the Internet, research logic models. Assume that you are a consultant to an organization going through a change. Prepare and use a logic model to present your plan for making your client’s organizational change strategy a success. For your client, complete the following:
- What is the goal for the organizational change?
- What are the needed inputs and outputs?
- What are the short-term, medium-term, and long-term outcomes?
- What are the external factors and assumptions that could impact the project?
Write a 200- to 300-word response.
By Saturday, August 8, 2015, post your responses to the appropriate Discussion Area. Through Wednesday, August 12, 2015, review and comment on at least two classmates’ responses. Evaluate the relevance of the main requirements for successful organizational change and provide alternative suggestions for the key strategies.
All written assignments and responses should follow APA rules for attributing sources.
